Why use the Epson Resetter

Epson inkjet cartridges with "smart chips" send a signal to the printer when empty, and the printer won't recognize the refilled cartridge as it "remembers" it as empty. The resetter will "reset" the Epson chips to "full" specs.
Which Epson Resetter?

* Epson Resetter V1.0: For Epson inkjet cartridges with 7-pin chips
* Epson Resetter V2.0: For Epson plotter (wide format) cartridges with 7-pin chips
* Epson Resetter V3.0: For Epson inkjet cartridges with 9-pin chips (also backwards compatible with V1.0)
