D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G VDI-624 High-Speed 2.4 GHz Wireless Router User Manual

The D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G VDI-624 High-Speed Wireless Router is an 802.11g high- performance, wireless router that supports high-speed wireless networking at home, at work or in public places. Unlike most routers, the VDI-624 provides data transfers at up to 108 Mbps (compared to the standard 54 Mbps) when used with other D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G products. The 802.11g standard is backwards compatible with 802.11b products. This means that you do not need to change your entire network to maintain connectivity. You may sacrifice some of 802.11g’s speed when you mix 802.11b and 802.11g devices, but you will not lose the ability to communicate when you incorporate the 802.11g standard into your 802.11b network.
You may choose to slowly change your network by gradually replacing the 802.11b devices with 802.11g devices . In addition to offering faster data transfer speeds when used with other 802.11g products, the VDI-624 has the newest, strongest, most advanced security features available today. When used with other 802.11g WPA (WiFi Protected Access) and 802.1x compatible products in a network with a RADIUS server, the security features include: Wi-Fi Protected Access authorizes and identifies users based on a secret key that changes automatically at a regular interval.

WPA uses TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) to change the temporal key every 10,000 packets (a packet is a kind of message transmitted over a network.) This insures much greater security than the standard WEP security. (By contrast, the older WEP encryption required the keys to be changed manually.)

Ambit Cable Modem U10C018 User’s Guide

Your new cable modem provides high-speed access to the Internet by an active Internet Connection through your cable service provider. This user guide describes how to set up and use the cable modem. Before installing the cable modem, you should read this user guide to ensure proper cable modem operation. Your cable modem has the following features to help you access and use the Internet:

• Two-way design allows the cable modem to send and receive data over the cable television network. Cable bandwidth allows data rates of up to 38 megabits per second (Mbps)*, which is faster
• than analog modems, integrated services digital network (ISDN), or asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL).
• Using your cable line means that the cable modem is always on, always connected, and does not tie up your phone line.
 • Plug-and-play operation through universal serial bus (USB) ensures easy setup and installation.
• Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS¥) compliance ensures interoperability with DOCSIS compliant cable operators.
• Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) certification ensures interoperability with Microsoft Operating Systems.

Using the USB port allows you to install the cable modem faster and easier than using the ethernet port, because you do not have to install and configure a network interface card (NIC). USB, however, only enables you to connect one computer to the cable modem. Using the ethernet port allows you connect multiple computers to a cable modem through the use of additional equipment that is not included. modem. If you use the default Windows-supplied software drivers, you will not be able to properly install the cable modem. You must verify that Ambit USB Cable Modem appears on the screen. If USB Composite Device appears, you must click Back twice and specify the correct location of the driver files.

HUAWEI UMTS Datacard/Modem AT Command Interface Specification

This Document describes the AT command-based communication interface between TE and MS of Huawei UMTS Datacard/Modem. The interface can implement the functions such as voice call, SMS, telephone service, supplementary service, and network setting. This document describes the AT interface of Huawei UMTS Datacard/Modem. The description on the AT interface is only limited to the interface packet itself, the usage and use procedure of TE and MS, and does not cover the contents which are not directly related to the interface. HUAWEI UMTS Datacard/Modem is a wireless terminal of the PCMCIA or Express or USB interface. It is used together with PC to provide data service, voice and SMS functions. This document describes the AT interface.

Therewith no description or definition explain for the document interface, and no temporary support to all kinds of parameter values, so no suggestion of usage. For the extended interface, parameters can be added behind the AT command. If the interface fails to meet the new requirements as detected in the later stage of product development, new parameters can be added on the basis of the original interface. In addition, for all the currently available interfaces, if the command received by MS is not identifiable, the “result code” of COMMAND NOT SUPPORT will be reported; if there is one surplus command parameter, the MS will report the “result code” of the corresponding TOO MANY PARAMETERS. No equal mark itself is deemed a surplus command parameter. All newly added AT command interfaces of the E630 project team begin with “^”. This project team specifies that: In the AT command name such as “AT^XXX”, the number of X cannot be more than 9 currently. All interfaces herein refer to the interfaces between TE and MS, and are used for guiding the implementation of the function requirements

Profile for IPSec Interoperability of D-Link DI-804HV, DI-808HV, or DI-824VUP+

This document describes how to finish VPN configuration on three hardware VPN models of D-Link—DI-804HV, DI-808HV, and DI-824VUP+. The VPN options of these three models are all the same. You can configure DI-804HV, DI-808HV, and DI-824VUP+ by web management interface. Type 192.168.0.1 (The LAN IP is 192.168.0.1 by default) in the browser, and then input user name: admin (there is no password by default) to pass authentication of web management interface.

Then finish the configurations as showed below on Gateway A and Gateway B. Verify the VPN connection Before you start to establish VPN connection between Gateway A and Gateway B, please make sure the Internet connection between Gateway A and Gateway B is workable. You can use “Ping Test” tool on Gateway A (or Gateway B), and input the IP address of Gateway B (or Gateway A) to see if there is any response from its peer device. Connect a PC (called PC_A) to the LAN port of Gateway A, and connect another PC (called PC_B) to the LAN port of Gateway B. Start to “Ping” PC_B on PC_A, then Gateway A will start to establish IPSec connection with Gateway B. If you can get “Ping” responses from PC_B on PC_A, then it means the tunnel has been established successfully.

You can also check the “VPN Status” page with web management interface to verify the status of VPN connections.

PCTEL V.90/K56Flex Series AT Command Guide

A command line is a string of characters sent from a DTE to the modem (DCE) while the modem is in a command state. A command line has a prefix, a body, and a terminator. Each command line (with the exception of the A/ command) must begin with the character sequence AT and must be terminated by a carriage return. Commands entered in upper case or lower case are accepted, but both the A and T must be of the same case, i.e., “AT or “at. The default terminator is the ENTER key character. Characters that precede the AT prefix are ignored.

The command line interpretation begins upon receipt of the ENTER key character. Characters within the command line are parsed as commands with associated parameter values. The basic commands consist of single ASCII characters, or single characters proceeded by a prefix character (e.g., “&” or “+”), followed by a decimal parameter. Missing decimal parameters are evaluated as 0. When the modem has established a connection and has entered on-line data mode, it is possible to break into the data transmission in order to issue further commands to the modem in an on-line command mode.

HUAWEI CDMA Datacard Modem AT Command Interface Specification

This manual introduces the AT commands supported by HUAWEI CDMA DATA CARD, including the commands based on standard and extended AT commands developed by Huawei. This manual does not include commands that are implemented by Qualcomm while not required by the CDMA DATA CARD. The AT interface description only covers packets as well as the usage and process for TE and MS. DIAG interfaces are not introduced in this manual. It is recommended not to implement interfaces that are not referred in this manual or are not supported currently.

AT commands are packets transmitted through telecommunications ports. There is limitation on the size of packets. Except the two characters “AT”, an AT command can carry no more than 260 characters (including null characters). Both a response and an unsolicited result code (URC) can contain no more than 668 characters. Each command line contains only one AT command. An URC or a response reported by MS to TE can have only one AT command. Use a return character as the end of a command line. In principal, you are not allowed to use S3/S4 format to modify a command.

The principal applies to boards and personal computer (PC) programs. For AT commands need longer response time, a response can be reported in an asynchronous mode to ensure the normal running of other commands. If it takes longer for MS to respond to TE, the response may be disrupted by a URC. The interruption comprises of two situations. The first is that URC is reported after you execute an AT command and wait for the response. After the URC is reported, the AT commands are being processed and the response will be reported. The second situation is that during the execution of AT commands, an URC is reported. The URC and response may be reported together. In some circumstance, RING can e used as terminal characters. For example, during the response waiting procedure after a hang up command is executed, a RING is reported, and then the hang up command abends.
