Installation manual console armrest Center 1995-2001 Audi A4 (Mk1 models)

The back of the console is now essentially for free, after removing the 2 screws and three nuts. To lift it, though, you need to first remove the trim brake. As you look at Handbrake, notice that the black plastic trim is in two parts: the handle, about 5 or so long and rest it in the back of the handle. You must first remove the handle from the large rear trim. Where they occur, at the bottom, there is a square plastic "cap", which is below. This plugin is part of the handle and must be removed by prying it down. After plug the handle, slide forward and off. You can then slide off more finishing (you may have to slide it back and forth a little to loosen it, have a piece of him near the top of the back of that fits into the brake handle parking).
After you remove the trim brake, you should raise the console on the back and slide it back a bit to release it from the front of the console. First though, you need to delete a diagnostic connector from the rear ashtray; to do this, use a small flat blade screwdriver and sliding down along the grooves in the side of the connector housing to release the socket catches. You can push the connector down and out of the console. Rear console is now free to delete.

Armrest
Armrest comes with cast aluminium mounting legs that goes inside the console and uses the existing studs to install it, you have to remove the center console from a lever back and cut a hole in the arm to pass through. Most cars have die Mark (weak) where the hole will be made at the factory, if ordered.
Press the rubber seal at the base of the arm. You must use a Stanley knife to clean up casting in the notch. The center console of the car set the armrest in the central console, the mounting bracket to the bottom side of the console, using the bolt and washer.
