Manual water critical issues and strategic options for development in India

the Executive summary of India continues to struggle with a growing financial crisis to end it with water the communications sector and its operation and maintenance cost. The economic crisis has also led to a massive backlog of maintenance and thus inadequate rates of irrigation projects. Distortions in the price of water services have also led to significant overall economic  cost of widening the gap between prices and costs.


Some of the causative factors are: inadequate income, chronically provided operations and maintenance (O &; M) the expenses, incomes, not aimed directly at the costs out of public spending priorities. India requires proper design and effective implementation of relevant policy options.
